表语从句引导词用法-表语从句连词

　　表语从句引导词有三大类：连词，连接代词，连接副词，其中表语从句连词有：that，whether，as if/as though，because等，今天学大教育针对连词做一篇详细的用法讲解。

　　一、that

　　that 在从句中不担任句子成分无实际意义，一般不能省略。

　　在表“建议，劝说，命令”的名词idea, suggestion, request, proposal 等后面的表语从句中，谓语动词用“should + 动词原形”，should可省略。

　　The trouble is that you are incapable of making a decision.

　　麻烦的是，你不擅长做决定。

　　The fact is that he doesn’t really try.

　　事实是他没有做真正的努力。

　　The trouble is that I have lost his address.

　　麻烦的是我把他的地址丢了。

　　My suggestion is that we should tell him.

　　我的建议是我们应该告诉他。

　　His sole requirement was (is) that the system work.

　　他唯一的要求是这个制度能起作用。

　　My idea is that we should start making preparations right now.

　　我的意见是我们马上就开始做准备工作。

　　The decision is that Tom is to leave Guangzhou for Beijing tomorrow.

　　决定是Tom明天离开广州去北京。

　　二、whether

　　whether在表语从句中翻译为"是否"，不充当句子的成分，但不能省略。与whether同义的if不能引导表语从句.

　　The issue is whether the girl can be trusted.

　　问题是，这个女孩是否值得信任。

　　The question is whether the film is worth seeing.

　　问题是这部电影是否值得看。

　　The question is whether Tom can arrive in Beijing on time.

　　问题是Tom能否准时到达北京。

　　三、as if, as though (主要构成主系表结构)

　　as if/though引导的表语从句常置于连系动词look, seem, sound, be, become等后面，常用虚拟语气，表示不存在的动作或状态。

　　It looks as if/as though it is going to rain.

　　看起来好像要下雨了。

　　It isn’t as if you were going away for ever.

　　又不是你离开不回来了。

　　Now it was as though she had known Millie for years.

　　现在好像她认识米莉已有好多年了似的。

　　It is not as though we were poor.

　　又不是我们家里穷。

　　It looks as if the cat is getting fat.

　　这只猫看起来好像变胖了。

　　It looks like Tom is going to be late. 看来Tom要迟到了。

　　四、because引导的表语从句

　　通常只用于“This/That/It is because…”结构中。

　　与because同义的since, as, for等不用于引导表语从句

　　This is because I don’t complain.这是因为我不抱怨。

　　It is because I love you too much. 那是因为我太爱你了。

　　That’s because you can’t appreciate music. 这是因为你不能欣赏音乐。

　　If I’m a bit sleepy, it’s because I was upall night. 如果我有点困，是因为一夜没睡。

　　It's because I passed a slip of paper for John to Helen in class. 这是因为我在上课中替约翰传纸条给海伦。

　　It's because Tom caught a cold yesterday. 这是因为Tom昨天感冒了。
